FOR ROOFING COMPANIES
You can't answer the phone from a roof.
So the enquiry that came in at eleven gets a call back at seven, by which point they've had two other roofers round. This is the problem worth fixing first — and it's fixable.
TYPICAL PROBLEMS
Sound familiar?
Every roofing company we speak to recognises at least four of these.
A ROOFING ENQUIRY, END TO END
Tuesday, 09:41. You're on a roof in Acomb.
You don't touch your phone until dinner. Here's what happens anyway.
WHAT WE'D USUALLY SET UP
For a roofing company, in this order.
QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING EVERY ROOFING ENQUIRY
Is it a repair, or are you thinking full replacement?
Roughly how old is the current roof?
Any leaks or damage showing inside?
Bungalow, semi, terrace or detached?
Is there access round the back for scaffold?
Insurance claim, or paying privately?
Six answers and you know whether it's a survey, a quick quote, or a polite no.
Roofing questions
We only want full replacements, not repairs. Possible?
Largely, yes. Advertising can focus on replacement work and qualification can filter small repairs politely. You'll still get some — homeowners don't always know which they need until someone's looked.
What about storm work?
That's when call handling earns its keep. Everyone rings at once, most calls go unanswered, and the firm that picks up gets the work. Campaigns can also be turned up quickly when weather creates demand.
Do you work with roofers outside your area?
Yes. We're based in Swindon and work with businesses across the UK — everything here runs remotely, and the only local part is your own targeting.
We've been burned by a lead-gen company before.
Understandable — shared leads sold to four roofers is a bad deal. Everything we build runs in your accounts, with your enquiries, and stays yours.
Let's talk about your roofing enquiries.
Half an hour, no hard sell, and a clear view of where the work is going instead of to you.
